David Trubridge - Kina

David Trubridge

Kina references the inner shell of the local salt water sea-urchin called kina in Maori. David saw a kina shell in Antarctica – an exquisite jewel sunk in a tiny hollow in the sea ice. The shell had absorbed enough warmth from the sun to melt the ice around it.

Kina is often placed in living rooms, entrance voids, bedrooms and most often, low over dining tables. Depending on your space, we can recommend an appropriate size. We usually have a sample pendant on hand that you can take home to make sure you get the sizing correct.

Assembly: Kina pendants are designed to be assembled by the end user and come complete with 2m white flex, ceiling rose, bulb holder and good assembly instructions. There are also instructional videos available to help. (A globe is not supplied as standard). We do however offer an assembly service, ($100 per pendant) and can also supply a range of globe options.
