David Trubridge - Koura

David Trubridge

Koura was inspired by woven baskets and also from the curled form of the New Zealand native fresh water shrimp, koura, which is its Maori name. Like our other lights Koura is available in a wide range of sizes from small and intimate to very large and dramatic.

Larger Koura pendants work well, (often in multiples) in higher spaces such as entrance voids, and staircases. The smaller Kouras are very versatile and are often used over island benches and smaller spaces such as narrow hallways.  Depending on your space, we can recommend an appropriate size. We usually have a sample pendant on hand that you can take home to make sure you get the sizing correct.

Assembly: Koura pendants are designed to be assembled by the end user and come complete with 2m white flex, ceiling rose, bulb holder and good assembly instructions. There are also instructional videos available to help. (A globe is not supplied as standard). We do however offer an assembly service, ($100 per pendant) and can also supply a range of globe options.
