As another year of Our Houses comes to a close, we look back on the 2025-26 program to reflect on the conversations had and how it informs the current state of Australian residential architecture and design.

Tongue & Groove, Australia’s leading producer of solid-engineered European oak flooring, Established & Sons, the iconic British design brand, and Raw Edges, the London-based design studio led by Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer, have announced a global partnership that will see Tongue & Groove manufacture and distribute all Established & Sons timber flooring collections worldwide.

We had the pleasure of co-hosting an exclusive event with our friends at Designer Rugs, celebrating a remarkable milestone in Australian design. The evening, held in our Sydney showroom, brought together industry leaders, design enthusiasts, and creatives to honour the launch of two new collections by the acclaimed Greg Natale: the Cruda rug collection for Designer Rugs and the Bosco timber flooring collection for Tongue & Groove.

The second collaboration in Tongue & Groove’s Co.Lab series, Wall to Wall, sees London-based studio Raw Edges and British design brand Established & Sons reimagine the role of colour, pattern, and parquetry in interior design. We talk to Raw Edges co-founders, Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer, about creative freedom, the production process, and the impact the collection can have on interiors.

Co.Lab is the bold new platform from Tongue & Groove, designed to push the boundaries of timber flooring through creative collaboration with industry visionaries. A visionary initiative years in the making, we were thrilled to officially launch our first Co.Lab series, the Bosco Collection by Greg Natale, at an intimate gathering in our Sydney showroom. The celebration brought together our most valued industry peers, friends, and members of the media, marking a bold new era in Australian timber flooring design.

Greg Natale’s Bosco collection is a celebration of pattern and timeless sophistication, merging Natale’s signature tessellating designs with the warmth and natural beauty of solid European oak.

Born from a vision to revolutionise the flooring industry and celebrate creativity and craftsmanship, Co.Lab brings together the world’s most esteemed designers to create extraordinary flooring collections that challenge conventions and set new standards in design.

All our grades (as well as every colour, format and finish) feature the same industry-leading three-layered solid oak construction, robust 25-year warranty, and are hand-crafted from responsibly sourced European oak.

Our European oak boards reflect the lives of the trees and forests from which they are sourced. A tree’s life story—its age, height, number of branches and a myriad of other factors—echoes through the material, emerging as knots, sapwood, heartwood, and medullary rays.

This MDW, our Melbourne showroom hosted 'The hands that touch the timber', a multi-faceted experience exploring the process, materiality and sustainability of timber in our built environment.

At the culmination of another year as gold partners of Australian Design Review’s 30UNDER30 program, we reflect on the wealth of experiences, conversations and connections that this year’s edition brought forth.
