More than 150 architects, interior designers, builders, clients, business partners and industry leaders gathered on Thursday 2 July to celebrate the official opening of Curated by Tom's (CBT) new showroom in Kent Town, marking the arrival of a thoughtfully curated destination for South Australia's architecture and design community.

The evening welcomed guests from across Adelaide's design and construction industries, celebrating not only the opening of the showroom but also the launch of South Australia's first dedicated showroom to bring together the premium collections of Tongue & Groove timber flooring and Oblica Fireplaces under one roof. The new destination offers architects, interior designers, builders and homeowners the opportunity to experience both brands within a thoughtfully curated environment designed to inspire conversation, collaboration and considered design.

Tom Anderson, Founder of CBT, said the showroom represented the next chapter for both the business and South Australia's design community. "From the very beginning, Curated by Tom has been about creating genuine relationships and helping people make thoughtful, lasting decisions for their projects with high quality products. This showroom brings that philosophy to life,” said Tom.

"Bringing Tongue & Groove and Oblica Fireplaces together in one dedicated showroom is something we've been working towards for a long time. These are two brands that share the same commitment to craftsmanship, longevity and considered design, and creating South Australia's first showroom where they can be experienced together was an intense but deeply rewarding experience for us."

Guillaume Roux, Founder and Director of Oblica Fireplaces, said the showroom provides an outstanding home for the Oblica collection in South Australia.

Tom mentioned the showroom is just the beginning of CBT’s intended growth.
“Building this business collaboratively project-by-project with our clients and going from hauling samples in the back of my car, to now having a dedicated space where our clients can experience these beautiful products in-person and immerse themselves, is an amazing feeling,” he said.

“This was an incredible first step, but only the beginning. In the years ahead, we aim to immerse ourselves further in the design community and deepen our ties to South Australia’s dynamic creative landscape.”

The showroom is run by Tom and his wife and CBT’s Finance Director, Melanie Lee. The showroom is open Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm and welcomes those in the design industries seeking expert guidance, premium materials and a collaborative design experience. You may even be lucky enough to be greeted by Fuego, CBT’s showroom puppy.
