Across two days in September at Tongue & Groove’s Melbourne showroom, we were proud to officially launch our second Co.Lab collection with London-based design studio Raw Edges in collaboration with acclaimed British design brand Established & Sons.
Debuting in Australia exclusively with Tongue & Groove, the Wall to Wall collection is a colourful reimagining of Herringbone parquet timber flooring—giving designers unprecedented freedom to create unique and distinctive compositions for every project.
The celebration began on Friday 5 September at an intimate preview with industry peers, select clientele and members of the media. Richard Karsay (CEO) opened the evening with a welcome address introducing the new Co.Lab series and the journey behind bringing Wall to Wall to Australia.
A short film documenting the collection’s making in Italy was screened, followed by an engaging discussion with Richard and Tegan Schwarz (General Manager Marketing), before opening the floor to audience questions.

For the occasion, seven new Wall to Wall patterns designed by Shay Alkalay (Co-founder of Raw Edges, with Yael Mer) were on display, coming soon to our Sydney and Brisbane showrooms.
Richard shared how the collaboration was shaped across months of dialogue with the Raw Edges design studio in London, the Established & Sons workshop in Italy, and the Tongue & Groove team in Australia, building on an idea first sparked in conversation with long-time friend Aidan Mawhinney, CEO of Living Edge.
Currently installed in more than 40 Stella McCartney retail spaces around the world—each featuring a site-specific design—Wall to Wall features boards constructed from three-layers of European oak, individually stained by hand in Italy using a palette of 22 colours.
The following day, in a celebration of colour, craft and creativity, Wall to Wall officially launched to the public at Saturday Indesign. Our Melbourne showroom welcomed both emerging and established architects and designers for an enthralling day of design conversation, hands-on exploration, and guided workshops from our in-house product experts.

We were thrilled to see the community’s reactions as they engaged with the collection for the first time—discovering Raw Edges’ conceptual desire to reimagine parquet flooring, the artisanal process of hand-staining its 22 curated shades, and experimenting with creating their own unique patterns.
As always, we ended the occasion with a deep sense of gratitude to everyone who joined us in making the event a huge success. Over the 15 years that Tongue & Groove has been in the industry, we’ve been fortunate enough to forge relationships with truly incredible people and your continued support is invaluable to us.
Co.Lab is a pioneering initiative from Tongue & Groove that combines the brand’s precision engineering with the groundbreaking creativity of the world’s most celebrated and visionary designers to create extraordinary flooring collections.
