Inspired by Bauhaus modernism and available in nine curated colours, its innovative connection system allows blocks to be laid in multiple orientations, creating patterns using grain, colour or both.

In Sydney’s iconic Queen Victoria Building, celebrated Australian designer 

 has created a sophisticated new boutique for Hunter’s Cashmere Collection – a brand known for its luxurious cashmere pieces. The store’s refined palette is inspired by the heritage-listed building’s stained-glass windows, with subtle tones of butter yellow and fern green interwoven with layers of marble, quartzite, and timber.

 was approached to transform a former worker’s cottage in New Farm, Brisbane, into a characterful family home, he drew inspiration from the Queensland vernacular – most notably the iconic Queenslander. “The home had to be light and bright yet still have a sense of personality, warmth, and depth,” says Favell. 

“The New Farm Residence design focused on creating a modern, elegant extension to the worker’s cottage to embrace the lifestyle of the contemporary Queenslander.”

Before its current incarnation as one of the most impressive homes in Norwood, Adelaide, this sandstone villa was a tired dwelling in need of a full overhaul – and one that its current owners had spent more than five years dreaming of owning. Norwood Residence was eventually put on the market and bought by a friend of the couple, who then sold it to them six months later. Split symmetrically across two titles, it was a golden opportunity to subdivide the property. With the design vision of 

, however, the clients transformed it into a spectacular family home.

Clover House is home to a family of six, including four young adult children. “We rejuvenated and revitalised the house and brought better amenities to the home for a more adult population,” says Carole Whiting, founder of Studio Whiting.

A small 1882 worker’s cottage in Sydney’s inner-west suburb of Leichhardt has been transformed into a stunning family home that maximises the site by

The typical L-shaped layout of the home has been substantially reimagined, taking advantage of the sloped site to create a cascading arrangement of volumes that steps down from the street level to the rear living area and garden. Skylights flood the interior with natural light, bringing the interior to life.

When interior designer Ashley Maddison, founder of 

, was approached to design a family home in Brisbane with a sleek, dark interior, the challenge was to avoid an interior that felt oppressive. “The client is particularly fond of concrete paired with black tones,” says Maddison. “We had to find ways to incorporate nature and warmth – and the choice of finishes significantly contributes to softening the concrete structure.”

The QT Museum Hotel in Wellington, New Zealand, by 

 reimagines the much-loved Museum Art Hotel, retaining its eccentric spirit alongside an extraordinary collection of New Zealand artwork and Italian motorbikes. 

The entire building was relocated on railway sleepers from the harbour site of the Te Papa Museum to its present location on the corner of Tory and Cable Streets.

 was designed for Celebrity chef Shannon Bennett, and is a response to the rugged bushland site. Perched on the edge of a hillside on a remote location along Victoria’s iconic Great Ocean Road, the H-shaped form of the home is also a nod to Sidney Nolan’s iconic paintings of Ned Kelly wearing his infamous helmet.
