The ANZ Flagship in Sydney’s iconic Martin Place combines digital technology with the physical brand environment to create a revolutionary and immersive customer experience. Designed by 

 in partnership with Blue Sky Design, ANZ, and Lendlease, the retail and work environment creates an engaging dialogue between ANZ staff and customers.

The flagship branch, the largest in the network, has been designed to make banking simpler and more enjoyable. Dedicated spaces include discovery zones, discussion areas, and seminar spaces, while digital screens clearly explain products and demonstrate solutions – all of which creates a more personable experience for customers.

Throughout, the interior features a full range of digital banking options and showcases the bank’s technological innovation. This approach is most impressively realised through the three-storey digital garden installation, which displays an ever-changing garden driven by social media interactions with customers.

Tongue & Groove solid engineered European oak floorboards in the Freado colour and Classic Grade textured finish is one of the key materials in the workplace, providing visual continuity throughout the various zones.

This warm, neutral backdrop, which is true to the original European oak colour, balances the innovative technological solutions and makes the interior fit-out more approachable and welcoming.

Transforming an ageing interior is a complex task, and it takes a strong creative vision to bring dated homes into the present. When architect John Deuchrass, Principal Architect at JDA Studio, was faced with a top floor apartment in a 1950’s, yellow-brick block of units in the harbourside suburb of Manly in Sydney, he decided to strip the interior back to a shell and create a crisp, calm, sophisticated space with a sense of warmth to evoke the nearby beach.

, set in the verdant Melbourne suburb of Malvern, is a potent example of the power of design to transform an interior to complement its residents. Clover House is home to a family of six, including four young adult children. “We rejuvenated and revitalised the house and brought better amenities to the home for a more adult population,” says Carole Whiting, founder of Studio Whiting.

To craft an interior that truly immersed its residents, the architects turned to a palette of natural materials – including Tongue & Groove solid engineered European oak boards in

A small 1882 worker’s cottage in Sydney’s inner-west suburb of Leichhardt has been transformed into a stunning family home that maximises the site by

The typical L-shaped layout of the home has been substantially reimagined, taking advantage of the sloped site to create a cascading arrangement of volumes that steps down from the street level to the rear living area and garden. Skylights flood the interior with natural light, bringing the interior to life.

When interior designer Ashley Maddison, founder of 

, was approached to design a family home in Brisbane with a sleek, dark interior, the challenge was to avoid an interior that felt oppressive. “The client is particularly fond of concrete paired with black tones,” says Maddison. “We had to find ways to incorporate nature and warmth – and the choice of finishes significantly contributes to softening the concrete structure.”

 reimagines the much-loved Museum Art Hotel, retaining its eccentric spirit alongside an extraordinary collection of New Zealand artwork and Italian motorbikes.
