Situated in the iconic Rialto Tower, the relocation of the Melbourne law firm Hall & Wilcox provided an opportunity to create a vibrant workplace with the aim to disrupt the industry norms in a highly competitive legal services market. The design by Woods Bagot cleverly balances privacy with flexibility to reflect an agile and tech-savvy workplace culture.

Corporate break-out spaces and the main reception move seamlessly into acoustically-designed meeting rooms with flexible room sizes, achieved through the inclusion of operable walls, providing highly efficient and fluid work spaces.

For some fun, there is even a ping pong table. Workstations are placed around the perimeter of the building to maximise the use of natural light and allow staff to enjoy the expansive views.

The material palette and colour schemes reflect a Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetic. Light blonde timber and mint tones are used that are light, fresh, fun and welcoming.

Mint tones are used to reflect the branding that is referenced throughout the fit-out.

Tongue n Groove solid engineered European oak floorboards in Graupa and Hekke colours, Eterno classic wire-brushed finish and Grande format feature within this workplace. The light honey hues and soft cream undertones of Graupa sets the ambiance in this interior.

A modern smokey grey colour with warm brown undertones, Hekke achieves a unique weathered effect, perfect for those looking for a floor with character. Combined, they provide a unique effect.
