Celebrating the original sandstone form, the expansive reworking transforms the cottage into a generous villa within the historic suburb of Hunters Hill. Designed by Campbell Architecture and Linda Habak Design, the renovation of the Hunters Hill Home is a careful balance between the preservation of the cottage and the introduction of modern elements.

The existing sandstone cottage transforms to become entirely living space filled with natural light. A discreet contemporary addition below the cottage expands the accommodation and creates a large terrace in the treetops for entertaining and appreciating the river views.

Two hexagonal bays reflect the design of the retained original stone staircase. The palette of natural materials and refined colour scheme works in harmony with the abundant natural light to create a calm and sophisticated mood.

Tongue n Groove solid engineered European oak floorboards in the Sienna colour, Eterno classic wire-brushed finish and Herringbone Parquetry format feature throughout the house. Sienna is a deep smoked oak radiating luxe brown tones to give the feeling of pure luxury.

The unique oversized Herringbone Parquetry that is featured is a modern play on a traditional design. The generous boards give a room the appearance of more space while adding dimension and elegance.
